The2011 Nissan Leafwill begin whirring down city streets next month and, as you might've guessed, we're kind of geeked. It's hard to hold back our enthusiasm, especially when you consider that this reasonably priced, high-tech electric impresses useachandevery timethat we'vestrapped ourselves into one of its coddling seats. Okay, enough gushing for now.

What's it like to drive the Leaf? Well, the Leaf is like the anti-electric car in that it, at least for the most part,feels familiar. It accelerates off the line with vigor, tackles corners like a typical family sedan and comes to halt without undue fanfare. It's not perfect, but it's probably the most well-executed electric vehicle that we've ever had a crack at. UK-based Auto Express recently took a Leaf for a whirl and the reviewer gives the impression that he was not expecting much ofNissan's battery-powered hatch.
